$1 Million for Women-Led Small Businesses

The Supporting Women in Business program aims to break down barriers and provide tailored support for women across a range of communities including veterans, carers, First Nations women, women with disability and those in regional and remote areas.

The recipients of this funding round are:

Rural Women Cooperative

Delivering the Thriving Together initiative, this program offers skills training, networking and mentoring to women in rural and remote communities who are looking to start or scale their businesses.

Women Veterans Australia

Their Phoenix Entrepreneur Program is an eight-week business accelerator designed to help female veterans transition from military life into entrepreneurship.

People With Disability Australia

This organisation will deliver a small business mentoring program tailored for women with disability, focused on building business confidence and practical skills.

Strong Spirit Aboriginal Services

Empower Her Journey is a culturally safe program supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women through workshops, mentoring and a business accelerator stream.

Carers NSW

Recognising the challenges faced by women with caring responsibilities, this program will offer one-on-one support and practical tools to help carers launch and manage small businesses.

NSW Minister for Women, Jodie Harrison, described the initiative as a crucial step in helping women overcome structural and social barriers in the business world.

“Women face unique challenges in business, and this funding ensures they have access to the tools, connections and guidance to turn their ideas into successful ventures,” she said.

With a focus on community, inclusion and long-term economic participation, this funding represents more than just financial backing, it’s a clear investment in women’s potential to lead, create and grow.
