Ethical Jobs Impact Report 2024

EthicalJobs.com.au, a job platform connecting Australians with ethical and for-purpose careers, has released its 2024 Annual Impact Report, revealing that it has helped raise more than $4 million to date for over 300 ethical organisations. In 2024 alone, the platform and its community contributed $743,823 to support 47 not-for-profit and social impact organisations.

The funding was raised through a combination of direct donations and a matched giving program that EthicalJobs.com.au runs weekly. According to the organisation, every job application submitted through the site contributes to its mission of supporting ethical organisations tackling major societal and environmental challenges.

Breakdown of Donations by Sector in 2024

In 2024, donations were distributed across key focus areas, including:

  • Environment and sustainability: $162,000

  • Women's rights and services: $146,000

  • Animal welfare and protection: $136,000

  • First Nations rights and services: $64,000

  • Community development: $56,000

  • Housing and homelessness: $47,000

In total, 48 organisations across 18 countries, six Australian states, and two territories received support through the platform. The report also noted participation from 2,932 individual donors during the year.

Matched Giving Campaign Aims to Raise $400K by End of 2025

One of EthicalJobs.com.au’s key initiatives is a weekly matched giving campaign, where it selects a featured organisation and matches community donations up to $5,000 each week. The platform has set a goal of raising $400,000 by the end of 2025, evenly split between contributions from the organisation and the wider community.

The initiative is part of the company’s broader mission to support ethical employment while funding social and environmental change. EthicalJobs.com.au promotes job opportunities at not-for-profits, social enterprises, and purpose-driven organisations, and uses platform revenue to help fund philanthropic activity.

“Every Job Application Makes a Difference”

A central message of the report is that job seekers using the platform play a direct role in funding these donations. EthicalJobs.com.au frames its model as one where every job application contributes to “making the world a better place, one job at a time.”

The organisation encourages users to subscribe to weekly emails to learn more about featured charities and how to double the impact of their donations through the matched giving program.
