Billy Bain will join his former university professional practice mentor and renowned ceramicist, Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran, in a lively discussion about his work in the exhibition, ‘Being Manly’ and the ideas that underpin his artistic practice in ceramics and painting.
Billy Bain draws upon his multi-disciplinary arts practice to present a unique exhibition of new works for MAG&M which unpack ideologies surrounding Australian masculinity, taking agency in his Indigenous identity having growing up on Sydney’s ‘Eurocentric’ Northern Beaches.
This exhibition will also be part of the Gai-mariagal Festival celebrations which aim to raise awareness of First Nations People living in the Northern Sydney region.
