We’ve seen large organisations come under heavy scrutiny for greenwashing. Just this year ASIC filed an historic first greenwashing civil penalty against a Superfund. What has become evident is that greenwashing allegations are not limited to climate-related statements but also ethical investment, biodiversity, and nature positive comments. There is far more at stake than the risk of fines when considering how organisations market themselves – communication is an extension of character and ethics plays a vital role.

Our speaker
Cris is the director of The Ethics Alliance, a community of organisations across sectors that works to collaboratively shape the future of business ethics. Cris is a member of the FPA Professional Designations Committee. She is also the director of The Banking & Finance Oath, a pledge of integrity and commitment that aims to increase consideration of stakeholders and decision-making accountability by financial service professionals. It is a program she helped execute, and still oversees. Cris sits on the Rio Tinto Australian Advisory Group, holds a degree in psychology, and in another life, founded a Manhattan theatre company, casting agency, and production studio. She is also a member of the Greaetest Good Marketing and Business Development Advisory Board
