Encouragingly, there is increasing recognition of the contribution of social enterprises by international organisations such as the ILO, European Union, African Union and the ASEAN secretariat. In this session, representatives from the ILO, European Commission, African Union and the ASEAN secretariat join the stage with leading voices from the sector to speak about:
- Why these international organisations have developed resolutions, strategies and action plans on social enterprise.
- What these initiatives concretely mean for social enterprises, how are they going to make a difference?
- What more can be done by the public sector to support social enterprises in leading the way towards a new economy which is more inclusive and sustainable.
