How to Find Numbers to Write Applications that Stand Out!

Learn the secret sauce that will make your grant applications (and your entire communications plan) be taken seriously and cut through the noise in this masterclass facilitated by digital marketing expert and Grant'd Community Manager Jo Murphy!

About this event:

Telling someone all about what you do and how you do it in your grant application is one thing, but #truthbomb everyone has a 'story' to sell. The reality is EVERY grant application, and let's face it your whole communications plan is going to be much stronger and more compelling, if you can back your claims up with data.

But time and time again we are asked - what is data, where do you get find it and how do you use it to add that secret sauce to your ask for funds?

It's definitely not complicated and chances are you are sitting on a 'data' gold mine - you just need to go on a treasure hunt and find it (and then learn how to make it work for you).

By the end of this one-hour session, you will learn how to turn social media comments, email clicks, and website activity into a really compelling story about what you do, who you do it for, and how much potential you have to scale.

In this session, hosted by digital marketer Jo Murphy - you'll learn where you where you can find some data gold mines, how to read/interpret those numbers (and how even "bad" numbers can be a good thing when it comes to, writing a really great application), and how to use them to bolster your case.

We'll look at:

  • What data actually is and why it matters in your grant applications (and business / NFP)
  • The difference between internal and external data
  • Data and analytics for Facebook and Instagram - where to find your numbers, and what they mean
  • What your email stats can tell you about your audience and their needs
  • External sources of useful data - where to look, and what to look for
  • How to stitch all those numbers together, to show that your project/cause is sustainable, scale-able, and a good investment for funders of all sizes

This will be a very practical, value packed session - you'll walk away with data that you can start using right away, to make your case to potential funders and investors.
