Join SENVIC for Lunch & Learn, a monthly peer-to-peer learning series for social enterprise founders, operators and ecosystem partners.
Delivered in collaboration with the City of Melbourne, this lunchtime series creates space for open and practical conversations between experienced social enterprise practitioners and emerging enterprises. Rather than formal presentations, these sessions centre on shared experience, practical insights, and honest discussion about the challenges and opportunities shaping the sector.
Each month will feature a leader from Melbourne’s social enterprise community and spotlight a particular industry sector or community of practice. While sessions will explore the featured sector in depth, the discussions will also surface insights relevant across the broader social enterprise landscape. The conversational format allows participants to ask questions, exchange ideas, and learn directly from peers.
Whether you’re leading a social enterprise, part of a social enterprise team, or working closely with the sector, Lunch & Learn is designed to strengthen connections and support peer learning across the community.
Bring your lunch and join the conversation - real stories, practical insights, and no filters.
This event is part of a six-month Lunch & Learn series held on the first or last Tuesday of each month.
September Session
The September session features Jess Colgan, CEO of All Things Equal, a social enterprise empowering people with disability through award-wage employment, purposeful training, and pathways to rewarding careers in hospitality.
Jess has transformed ATE from a local café into a hospitality employment pathway model, featuring at the Australian Open and Grand Prix, and placing graduates in jobs with partners including the MCG and W Hotel. Jess is a chartered accountant, with over 15 years experience leading hospitality businesses. She also co-founded GingerSnap Patisserie with her brother Brett, a proud deaf man and talented pastry chef, grounding her understanding of inclusive employment, and the profound impact it has on an individual and their family.
Join SENVIC for a deep dive into Jess' story, behind the scenes of All Things Equal, followed by a peer coaching clinic connecting experience-based expertise with early-stage and emerging enterprises.
Places are limited to 20 attendees, so register early to avoid disappointment.
Note: If you are no longer able to make it, please notify SENVIC so they can offer your spot to someone else.
