We know business as usual cannot solve the social and environmental challenges we face. We need more innovation and collaboration that puts people and the planet first. Social enterprise is in a unique position to help. It combines the power of business to test and scale new ideas with a compass of public good.
But many people don’t know what social enterprise is or how to get involved, and we need better systems for more social enterprises to reach their potential.
Social Enterprise Australia coordinates the social enterprise national strategy to help shift these things - to grow Australia’s social enterprise sector and its impact. The strategy is challenge-led, focusing on priority areas where social enterprise can drive the most impact.
We are asking the sector to help build out the challenge areas, set concrete goals, and strengthen what exists - to refresh and get clear on the future we want and how we plan to build it, together.
The process kicked off with a survey.
At this workshop, we’ll:
-
share survey findings and current context
-
get your feedback on ideas shared to help social enterprise deliver more impact, and
-
deep dive on a handful of key topics.
It’s a chance to connect, share your insights, and help shape the collective direction of our sector.
Following and driven by workshops, we’ll then put a draft updated strategy back to you via survey for review, update it based on feedback, and then finalise changes through a Member vote, over the next six months.
