"We are strong Indigenous women of the Northern Territory. We stand united as one strong voice. We commit to a network that gives equal power to the rights of all our women. Strong Women means Healthy Country."
Registrations are now open for the 2023 Strong Women For Healthy Country Network Forum, being hosted by Pudakul Aboriginal Cultural Tours on 5th - 7th September.
Forum attendees will be working together with project partners to facilitate yarning circles where we can:
• undertake advocacy and mentorship training
• review the best practice principles we recommend to employers of women caring for Country
• schedule ranger exchanges and camps
• review governance options to support our network design communication tools for our network
• explain the support we need for women's spaces in our communities
• design a National forum for women caring for Country.
• continue our collaborative art, music, bush medicine making, mental health support, and storytelling.
The Strong Women for Healthy Country Forum is open to all Indigenous women caring for Country in the NT and their support staff who identify as women, including cis and transgender women, people who are LGBTIQA+SB, and those who are gender diverse and non-binary.
