About this event
BOFA has partnered with the Launceston Buddhist Meditation Institute to launch a one-day Tibetan Film Festival, showcasing some of the extraordinary films from the region, along with Buddhist cultural experiences, teachings and, of course, a range of Nepalese delicacies to enjoy.
Join us on April 29th for a full day of award-winning films and get to meet the venerable Lama Tsewang as he takes the time to share his life story, explain what the institute is all about and share in his Buddhist teachings.
Discover common themes that span our global communities, the strength of the human spirit, and the wisdom of ancient cultures, from one of the remotest places on earth.

BUDDHIST TEACHINGS
What does it mean to learn from another culture? How do others in the world deal with the problems we face today? Living compassionately by being of service to others, realising everyone else is also suffering on the inside, and also wants to be happy, how to work with your mind to transform your inner suffering so that slowly, bit by bit you can be a better person. These themes and more are explored by the films on offer. Still confused? Ask a question of Lama which is a title meaning spiritual teacher.
TAKE HOME A LITTLE PIECE OF NEPAL
