First-of-its-kind Social Enterprise Loan Fund

The Westpac Foundation, in partnership with White Box Enterprises, has launched the Social Enterprise Loan Fund (SELF)—a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to provide flexible, impact-driven loans to support the growth of social enterprises that create meaningful employment pathways for people facing complex barriers.

SELF offers loans ranging from $100,000 to $500,000, with interest rates starting at 6.5% and repayment terms of up to seven years. The fund is designed to bridge the gap between grants and traditional financing, offering tailored capital at the right time to help social enterprises expand their teams, invest in new equipment, and scale operations.

Unlike conventional loans, SELF is structured to meet the unique needs of mission-driven businesses, providing flexibility to foster long-term growth while creating jobs in communities.

Expressions of Interest are now open for social enterprises interested in accessing this financing.
