Disability Employment Centre of Excellence Grant

The Disability Employment Centre of Excellence Grant is an initiative by the Australian Government, offered through the Department of Social Services, aimed at improving employment outcomes for people with disabilities. The grant is open to organisations or consortia interested in establishing a Centre of Excellence that will focus on enhancing the quality of disability employment services across the country.

About the Disability Employment Centre of Excellence Grant

The Centre of Excellence will be an evidence-informed, best-practice hub that collects and translates employment-related research and evidence of what works, converts this to best-practice resources and disseminates and promotes these resources. The Centre of Excellence will bring together and use existing resources available both nationally and internationally.

The Centre of Excellence will improve the quality of services by providers of the new specialist disability employment program, Workforce Australia, the Community Development Program (CDP), the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and supported employment — including Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEs).

The grant will fund the Centre from March 2025 to June 2028, with the aim of improving services for both participants with disabilities and the employers who engage with them.
