Northern Territory Suicide Prevention

The Northern Territory Government is realeasing a grant to support community and non-government organisation led intiatives/activities that align with the strategic framework goals to reduce the suicide rate in the NT.  One-off funding betweem $500 and $10,000 is available to deliver localised suicide prevention measures and activities across the Territory. The 2023/24 NT Community Suicide Prevention Grants are open to applications from the following catergories: Community suicide prevention activities, Supporting protective connections and linkages (through sport, culture, education and community), reducing exposure to trauma (violence, sexual abuse, alcohol and drug use). Developing skills in emotional resilience and mananging strong feelings, encouraging help seeking, working together to make communities safe and supportive, learning what works when help is needed and feeling confident and sure about how to help.
