Description

The Australian Government is inviting organisations in an open process to apply to deliver projects under the Family and Communities Program: Strong and Resilient Communities Activity – Inclusive Communities Grants Round 3 (SARC – IC) grant opportunity from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2026. 

These grants aim to support equity and opportunity for Australian communities through local community-driven solutions that build self-reliance and empowerment. 

SARC – IC grants will support the social and economic participation of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in their communities by providing funding that supports:

  • young people 12 to 18 years who are disengaged, or at risk of being disengaged from education, to reconnect with their community, school, training and/or employment.
  • people with disabilities and/or mental health issues to participate in their community, and work towards becoming and/or remaining independent and engaged in the economy and/or society.
  • women who experience, or are at risk of experiencing, isolation or discrimination to participate in the community or the economy and increase their self-agency
  • people who are unemployed to increase participation in their community, and/or increase their capacity to engage in employment, training, or existing employment services. 

Eligibility

To be eligible you must be one of the following entity types:

  • Company
  • Cooperative
  • Incorporated Association
  • Indigenous Corporation
  • Local Govenrment Entity
  • Statutory Entity
  • Trust.

Grant Activity Timeframe

Assessment of applications - 4 weeks Approval of outcomes of selection process - 4 weeks Negotiations and award of grant agreements - Up to 6 weeksNotification to applicants - 2 weeks Earliest start date of grant activity - 1 July 2024End date of grant activity - 30 June 2026
