Our Inclusive Employment Grant (IEG) valued at $50,000 over two years, aims to support community organisations and social enterprises creating jobs and training opportunities for those facing complex barriers to employment. These organisations must be currently earning revenue through trade, want to strengthen their business model and build greater financial resilience and sustainability in delivering their social mission.

What the IEG provides:
- $50,000 over two years to support up to 40 community organisations and social enterprises creating jobs and training opportunities for those facing complex barriers to employment.
- Non-financial support including our Westpac Community Ambassador program to help drive impact and access to a broad range of networking, leadership, business strategy, governance and financial capability programs.
- Participation in an impact study to build outcomes measurement and reporting capacity.
IEG priority groups:
- First Nations Australians
- Refugees and people seeking asylum
- Women at risk
- Young people at risk (over 15 years of age)
- People who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
- People who’ve experienced family or domestic violence
- People living with disability (including carers)
- People living with a mental health issue (including carers)
- People who are long-term unemployed
- People who have been incarcerated or had contact with the criminal justice system
- People living in remote areas
EG focus areas:
- To support existing (not start-up) jobs-focused social enterprises and community organisations earning trading revenue that want to:
- Strengthen their business model and build greater financial resilience and sustainability in delivering their social mission
- Build skills and career pathways (for people in the IEG priority areas) in jobs-rich growth sectors such as tech, care and the green economy.
