Stepping Into Business supports First Nations entrepreneurs

Twelve entrepreneurs have now graduated from Impact North's Stepping Into Business, a free early-stage mentoring program supporting First Nations entrepreneurs in East Arnhem Land to develop and grow their business ideas.

Among the 2025 graduates are Brendan Wunungmurra, who is establishing a phone repair business in Gapuwiyak, and Joan Malku Dhamarandji, whose community-led transport initiative, Joan's Community Bus, is improving access to essential services while creating local employment and training opportunities for Yolŋu people.
