Victoria's social enterprise sector has received a significant boost, with new government funding set to help purpose-driven businesses grow, create jobs, and deliver greater social and environmental impact across the state.
As part of this investment, Social Enterprise Network Victoria (SENVIC) will receive funding to support early-stage and emerging social enterprises as they develop into sustainable and successful businesses.
Social enterprises are a vital part of Victoria's small business ecosystem. They combine commercial activities with a clear social or environmental mission, creating employment opportunities, building skills, strengthening communities, and addressing some of society's most pressing challenges.
Recognising the important role social enterprises play in Victoria's economy and communities, the Victorian Government has announced a $900,000 investment to deliver strategic initiatives that strengthen and uplift the sector.
With this new funding, SENVIC will expand its support programs, creating more opportunities for social enterprises to connect, build capability, and grow through an enhanced offering of events, workshops, coaching, and one-on-one advisory services.
