Ireland launches Social Enterprise New Deal

Social Enterprise Republic of Ireland (SERI) has launched the Social Enterprise New Deal (SEND), a campaign outlining key priorities to strengthen the country's social enterprise sector.

The initiative calls for increased investment, stronger government policy support and greater recognition of the contribution social enterprises make to building inclusive, sustainable communities.

Its Budget 2027 Pre-Budget Submission outlines seven practical, costed recommendations, including a national social enterprise strategy, improved access to finance and public procurement opportunities, investment in workforce development and leadership, and stronger regional support infrastructure.

The proposals aim to help social enterprises scale their social and economic impact while contributing to more inclusive and sustainable communities.
