Member Spotlight: The Reconnect Project and Its Social Impact
We love to see an organisation that re-purposes products that are no longer needed by one person and making them available to someone in need.
And that’s what The Reconnect Project do!
They take donated mobiles, laptops and chargers, refurbishes them and provides them to marginalised individuals such as victims fleeing domestic violence, refugees, and underprivileged school children.
In a world that is so digitally connected, being disconnected from family, friends and essential services can be really challenging.
The Reconnect Project also has a volunteer program that creates training and employment opportunities.
