Workers Compensation premium rate freeze

The NSW Government has introduced a freeze on Workers Compensation premium rates for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 financial years.

The freeze is intended to provide businesses with greater stability and predictability around Workers Compensation costs over the next two financial years.

However, the freeze does not mean every business will pay the same premium. Individual premiums may still change if factors such as wages, business activity, claims history or incentive eligibility change during the freeze period.
