Queensland Procurement Policy 2026

The Queensland Government have released a new overarching policy for the procurement of goods and services, the Queensland Procurement Policy 2026 (QPP 2026), which commenced January 1st 2026.
It sets a vision to achieve positive procurement outcomes that create a strong and sustainable future for Queensland, and is underpinned by five strategic pillars reflecting the values, aspirations and priorities of the Queensland Government.
The Queensland Procurement Policy 2026 is the lead document for the Queensland Procurement Framework (Framework) and adopts a unified, whole-of-government approach, ensuring a consistent experience for suppliers and reducing administrative burdens for buyers.
In turn, the Framework leverages best-in-class procurement practices that deliver tangible benefits to Queensland communities.
Pillar five centres around Practical economic, environmental and social impact.
