About Hotel Etico: Hotel Etico, located in Mount Victoria in the Blue Mountains, is a groundbreaking social enterprise hotel that provides employment and independent living opportunities for young people with disabilities. The hotel has 15 beautiful rooms, a restaurant, bar and meeting and conferences facilities.
Our trainees undergo professional on-the-job training in various areas of the hotel, gaining valuable hospitality skills and enhancing their employability. Additionally, they receive independent living training in our dedicated onsite apartment, the Academy of Independence. Our mission is not only to empower individuals but also to change community attitudes towards disability and employment, demonstrating the abilities of every individual and their potential to live fulfilling lives.
Position Purpose: Hotel Etico is seeking is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Target: Identify potential corporate clients and group booking opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sector.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to drive corporate and group bookings.
- Proposal Creation: Prepare compelling business proposals tailored to client needs.
- Contract Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate and review contracts.
- Reporting: Regularly report to senior management on business development progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (highly desirable) and/or 3-5 years of experience in business development, with a focus on corporate and group bookings in the tourism and hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Driver's License: Possession of an NSW Driver's License and willingness to use your personal vehicle for work purposes.
The role will be employed for an initial fix term of 12 months.
