MyCareSpace supports people living with a disability, by connecting them with disability supports in their local area that meet their individual needs.
You’ll be joining a team of dedicated, energetic people who are motivated by our purpose: to give every Australian living with a disability access to the information and support they need to increase their independence and achieve their life goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build awareness of the MyCareSpace Connection Service within Disability Support Organisations, as well as establish partnerships with Peak Bodies, Government and other NDIS key stakeholders (support Coordinators and Local Area Coordinators).
- Identify key organisations and groups who will be critical to engage with in the community
- You will collaborate with the rest of the team in building a strategy for engagement with specific communities
- Help us plan, organise and facilitate community events, campaigns when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of your interactions with individuals and organisations using our CRM (ZOHO). Training provided.
THIS ROLE WILL SUIT SOMEONE WHO:
- Has experience in the field of community engagement and stakeholder relations
- Has strong networking and collaboration skills - friendly demeanour and an ability to build and maintain strong work-related relationships
- Is self-motivated and organised and happy to work both independently and within a team
- Can identify with an organisation's needs and can talk to them about how MyCareSpace can help them
- Is an ex NDIS Support Coordinator or NDIS Local Area Coordinator looking to be part of a like-minded team with a common goal of making an impact.
- Has a disability or lived disability experience
- Has knowledge of the NDIS

HOURS:
This role is part-time to start, with the view to move to full time within three months.
MyCareSpace is based in Edgecliff Sydney and the role is a mix of in-person for 2 days of the week and remotely the rest of the week. For the right candidate in another state, we may consider 5 days remote.
