About the role

Reporting to Financial Accounting Manager, this role will perform and support the completion of month-end and year-end tasks, ensure compliance with internal finance policies and accounting standards, and program contractual reporting requirements. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Completing assigned month end tasks in good quality with agreed timetable.
  • Executing month end expense accruals, update prepayments register and release amortization, Intercompany recharges, and reconciliations for subsidiaries and potentially parent company.
  • Examining financial records to check for accuracy, identify major inconsistency on monthly result, variance to budget and alert for any internal control gaps when review the day-to-day transactions for subsidiaries and potentially parent company.
  • Reviewing key movements on Fixed Assets and Leased Assets against the financial policy and procedure and the Accounting standard; Prepare addition, disposal and transfer on fixed assets / leased assets, run monthly FA depreciation and Lease amortization for all entities
  • Preparation of BAS Lodgement and ABS survey for subsidiaries and potentially parent company.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation for subsidiaries and potentially parent company.

 

Essential Criteria

  • CPA/CA qualified, or qualifications underway, minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in similar role
  • A solid understanding of financial policies & accounting principles and their application
  • Strong working knowledge of fixed assets and lease accounting
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and adaptive to rapidly changing business circumstances
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Contributes to high performance in the team focusing on teamwork, attention to details and punctuality.
