Marketing Campaign Lead

Are you a marketing and communications superstar with experience delivering creative campaigns and creating engaging digital content?

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a Marketing Lead! Working with the CEO and Program Coordinator, this short-term strategic role is responsible for leading the marketing and communications campaign for GiveOUT Day on 19 October 2023.

Position objectives include:

  • Increase the reach of GiveOUT Day, including into mainstream audiences, as evidenced by increasing the number individual donors on GiveOUT Day

  • Engage diverse stakeholders and supporters through digitally savvy, creative and targeted communication channels

  • Maximise brand awareness of GiveOUT Day and raise the profile of LGBTIQ+ organisations

  • Increase the capacity of LGBTIQ+ organisations to develop and implement their own marketing campaigns

Key responsibilities include:

1. Plan and oversee execution of the marketing campaign for GiveOUT Day, including:

  • Lead development of engaging and creative assets and content for all communication platforms including website, social media, eDM and other media

  • Lead media efforts including media pitching and handling media requests

  • Ensure consistent brand, voice and visual identity

  • Lead Google Analytics and Google Ad Grants

  • Effectively use communication tools and systems including Hootsuite and Canva

  • Monitor performance using metrics such as social media engagement

2. Lead management of all GiveOUT social media accounts
In partnership with the Program Coordinator, support participating LGBTIQ+ organisations to develop and execute their own GiveOUT Day marketing campaigns


3. Work collaboratively with the GiveOUT team, volunteer committees, and external contractors to deliver on responsibilities (including delegation to GiveOUT Communications and Administration Coordinator)


4. Capacity permitting, provide marketing support for other GiveOUT activities that are not related to GiveOUT Day
