Operations Lead - Recycle4Change - Geelong

Opening 1 November 2023, we are looking to fill the role of Lead Operations based in Geelong North.

ABOUT US

Recycle4Change (R4C) exist to create chances for those impacted by the justice system, providing meaningful transitional employment opportunities to allow them to reintegrate with society as returning citizens. R4C will do this by operating two automated container deposit depots as part the Victorian Government CDS launched this year.

YOUR ROLE

This role has the potential for an excellent communicator with an understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles to make their own.

  • Candidates are not expected to have prior experience. Candidates will be offered continuous on the job training/coaching. The candidate is expected to have a ‘can do attitude’.
  • Ideal Candidate - Impacted by the Justice system (yourself or family member has been to prison, court, juvenile detention).
  • Possibility to move into a senior role within a fast-growing social enterprise.
    An understanding of business management, financial and leadership principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to staff members.
  • Delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations. Ensure continued operations.
  • Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
  • Monitoring AD Activity and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed.
  • Over-seeing day to day operations.
    Generating reports and presenting information to the Leadership Team and other parties.
  • Establishing and achieving business and profit objectives. Full site management, P&L Management.
  • Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to liaise with internal business units such as:

- Business development - to devise sales strategies, meet sales targets, ensure customer satisfaction.
- People & Culture – to devise employment plan, ensure onboarding process, ensure happy and satisfied staff. Ensure employee develop professionally.
- Finance – Budgeting and reporting.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Some knowledge of logistics and warehousing capabilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, excel, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills.
  • Forklift licence preferable (training included).
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must be relatively fit with good mobility and able to lift 15 kilos.
  • Candidates must wear appropriate PPE to all rostered shifts – all PPE will be provided.
  • Candidate must adhere to random alcohol and drug testing.
