The Smith Family is an independent children's charity helping Australian children living in disadvantage to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. As we lead up to our Centenary, it’s an exciting time to be joining our family.
We are currently seeking a Programs Coordinator to help us achieve The Smith Family’s vision. Reporting to the Regional Programs Manager and working with a dedicated and passionate team, this pivotal role will manage and deliver two of our most valuable programs – Learning for Life and Growing Careers.
ABOUT OUR ROLE
A day in the life of a Programs Coordinator might look like this, but really every day will be different:
- Facilitate the delivery and administration of appropriate programs from the Learning for Life Suite in partner schools and the local community
- Maintain program participation numbers to agreed targets. This includes an increased engagement of Learning for Life scholarship students in programs
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner schools and relevant community agencies
- Work with schools to identify ‘best fit’ career related programs and activities to meet student needs and support career aspirations
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Project Partner schools and relevant community agencies. This includes engagement of Project Partner schools in required year on year data capture and possible input into project evaluation activities
- Support Project Partner schools to deliver quality program delivery year on year across life of project
ABOUT YOU
Our successful candidate will bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating programs / projects
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining relevant partnerships
- Demonstrated experience in administration
- Holds a current driver’s licence
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of post school pathways
- Experience in career related supports would be highly valued
