Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Would you like to be a part of Australia’s first social enterprise hotel? We have a very unique opportunity for the right person to join our Etico family.

Hotel Etico and Niccolò’s Bar and Restaurant are Australia’s first social enterprise hotel in Australia. We are based at the Mount Victoria Manor, a charming and historic building with great character and warmth.

Our Restaurant and Bar are fast becoming known in the Blue Mountains as the place to be, especially on a Friday night with our eclectic mix of live music each week.  We provide a fantastic holiday experience to guests through beautiful and comfortable accommodation in one of the most welcoming villages of the Blue Mountains, delicious and wholesome food from Niccolò’s restaurant and a wide selection of drinks from our bar within a unique and warm atmosphere.

All of this, while powering a program that provides employment and independent living opportunities to young people with intellectual disability, helping them to achieve their independence goals.

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager willing to take on the responsibility for the Liquor License and run a friendly and welcoming venue.

The successful candidate will

  • Enjoy leading from the front, with a warm, knowledgeable and hands on approach to the role.
  • Assist with mentoring, developing, and training hospitality staff as well as trainees with intellectual disability.
  • Prioritise the Etico culture and develop a strong team spirit within a context of inclusivity and training. 
  • Manage workforce labour costs and roster according to all business, legislative and award requirements
  • Work closely with the Chef and members of the Management Team to ensure in venue operations, activity and promotions are delivered to drive business results
  • Effectively manage and monitor licensing requirements
  • Experience in effective stock management and control
  • Assist with the implementation of strategies to grow the brand of the hotel through marketing, functions, events, food, and beverage experience

About you

In this role we are looking for a leader with;

  • Demonstrated Venue management experience and success
  • Leadership experience working with a small team
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Restaurant & Bar operations with knowledge and loads of enthusiasm for the Beverage offering and Functions
  • The ability to prioritise guest experience and service. 
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to troubleshoot and ability to remain positive under pressure
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rostering
  • A strong social conscience and a desire to give back
