This position is responsible for providing a range of administrative and support functions to the HR and Operations Team in order to ensure a customer‐focused service is provided to all staff, volunteers, interns and stakeholders engaging with the department.

About The Role
This position is responsible for providing a range of administrative and support functions to the HR and Operations Team in order to ensure a customer‐focused service is provided to all staff, volunteers, interns and stakeholders engaging with the department.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Telephone reception including answering the land line phone and directing the call to the appropriate person, taking messages, checking the answering machine.
  • Arranging venue bookings, rubbish bookings, event requests etc;
  • Document management including filing, copying and scanning into Xero, Infoodle and Google Drive;
  • Requisitions and purchasing as required (e.g. reordering stationery and toiletries)
  • Preparation of SIsterWorks name tags for all new starters; Asset Tagging and updating the asset register, asset counts and labelling assets;
  • Some pre-production or post production set up and cleaning support May be required from time to time to look after retail shop during staff lunch breaks etc.
  • Work collaboratively with staff across the organisation to ensure organisational needs are understood, recognised, and responded to, as
  • well as staff are supported in their services
  • Adhere to all SW’s policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct, and Confidentiality Agreement

Skills and qualifications:·

  • Good eye for detail
  • Confident using/learning new computer programs
  • Commitment to the values and principles of volunteerism
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Driven by a genuine customer service ethos and able to inspire the same in others
  • A team player, able to work in a collaborative way
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

Compulsory requirements:

  • Working with Children Check and/or Police Check (if you do not have one, you can apply for one free of cost)
  • Hours are 10am to 5pm
  • Available 1 or 2 days in a week
