SisterWorks is a not-for-profit social enterprise, with its head office based in Abbotsford , Melbourne. SisterWorks’ mission is to support women from refugee, asylum seeker or migrant backgrounds to improve their confidence, mental wellbeing, sense of belonging and economic outlook. SisterWorks does this through providing learning opportunities in a safe environment where Sisters can build their skills and community, gain both the knowledge and the confidence to seek employment or further study. Our vision is an Australia where all migrant women are given the opportunities to become economically empowered.

Where the Role Fits within Sisterworks & Your Contribution
The IT Admin position will be responsible for providing technical support across the organisation, setting up accounts for new users, assisting in monitoring performance of software and hardware products as well as performing other ad-hoc tasks if required. This role will work closely with IT Solutions Delivery Lead and other SisterWorks team members.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying hardware and software needs and raise purchase requisitions for any new hardware or software requirements;
- Format new laptops ready for use;
- Providing IT support for all staff and volunteers throughout the onboarding and offboarding process;
- Perform due diligence on staff and volunteers’ personal devices which are used for work purposes to ensure the anti-virus software and operating systems are updated;
- Maintain register of IT equipment and software;
- Ensure currency of software is maintained;
- Provide troubleshooting support to staff and volunteers to ensure fully-functioning software and hardware products within the SisterWorks environment.
Your Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Highly organised
- Candidates with Bachelor’s/ Masters in Information Technology or with equivalent tertiary qualifications are highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with people from CALD backgrounds
- Ability to troubleshoot IT issues and to find the best possible solutions to address them
- Experience in working within effective teams, particularly working with volunteers
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to clearly document outcomes, measure and monitor performance
- Experience working with IT hardware and software;
- Good working knowledge of IT softwares, Google Drive and cybersecurity processes
