Hands and Feet are a not for profit organisation who provide help in times of need for the poor, vulnerable, widows, orphans and people with disabilities. Our warehouse in Sydney (Kings Park) is used to collect, sort and distribute food to people in need through the network of churches.

Hands and Feet are looking for a competent Truck Driver (LR License min) to work full time (38 hours/week) to help us collect and deliver food to and from the H&F warehouse.

The role will involve working under the leadership of the Sydney Warehouse Manager to ensure the smooth running of collecting and distributing food to people in need. The following activities would be expected of the successful applicant:

  • Drive H&F vehicle to collect and or distribute food.
  • Load and unload the vehicle with the aid of warehouse staff
  • Support the Warehouse Manager, by participating in warehouse operations when requested.
  • Bring honour to the H&F name by the way the vehicle is driven
  • Report in accordance with our procedures any incidents or concerns with the vehicles condition
  • Ensure assigned vehicle is filled with fuel when required using petrol card supplied for the vehicle.
  • Maintain logbook for the vehicle
  • Ensure the inside of the vehicle is kept tidy and clean.
  • Wash vehicle down weekly to ensure the vehicle presents well when on the road.
  • Fill in and conform to P-18 Transport Policy and complete T-42 Driver Induction Checklist
  • Any fines collected while driving a H&F vehicle for traffic infringements will be the responsibility of the driver.


Some qualifications that would be an advantage:

  • LR License (min)
  • Personal Skills: having patience and the ability to work with and encourage people
  • Have an understanding of safety protocols in operating forklifts
