WANTED – Social Enterprise Network Weavers in Greater Melbourne

We are looking for local leads based in, and with strong connections in their region of Greater Melbourne. You might be working within an existing organisation that operates or supports social enterprises. You could be a social entrepreneur with a strong network of contacts and a desire to play a leadership role in the sector.


Key attributes are:
● Alignment with our vision, purpose and principles.
● Ability to form a collaborative working group to support and inform delivery across your region.
● Recognised leadership in the local social enterprise community.
● Trusted connections and partnerships with social enterprises in the region demonstrated by local activities and projects.


What is involved?

  • Work with SENVIC to build a great social enterprise network for your region.
  • Facilitate the development of a local action plan that meets the specific needs of your region by collaborating with others across your region, and contributing to emerging theme or problem-based or industry-specific networks.

Key responsibilities include
Design and implement a local plan with your network that responds to your region’s needs to:
● Support and grow the social enterprise network in your local area.
● Attend monthly meetings (online) to connect regional leads across Melbourne and Victoria.
● Host and promote events in your region to build awareness of social enterprise.
● Identify and promote capacity building and learning opportunities for your region.


What will SENVIC provide:
● Specialist support to enable the development and implementation of action plans.
● Resources, including a budget allocation of up to $10,000 in the first year and $20,000 in the second, to ensure the success of local action plans.
● Leadership and development opportunities.
● Event support, such as creation of collateral, customer relationship management, event registration, etc.
● Participation in conferences in Melbourne or Regional Victoria.
● Referrals to specialist support organisations.

Process overview
1. Expressions of Interest must be:  submitted by 6pm on Friday 15 July 2022 via email addressed to nick@senvic.org.au with the subject line “Local Lead EOI”Format of application in Microsoft (Word) or Adobe (pdf).
2. Expressions of Interest will be assessed and further information may be sought (including face to face meetings) with a view to appoint local leads July 2022
3. Onboarding and engagement sessions for all local leads will take place in July-August 2022.
