Blending grants, debt and equity to fund growth

Are you curious how blended finance can unlock greater impact for social enterprises and not-for-profits? Do you want to understand how philanthropy and private capital can work together on the same deal?

Blended finance combines different types of capital, for example, part debt and part grants, bringing together impact investors with different expectations to fund a single deal. It uses finance and philanthropic funds strategically to mobilise private capital and deliver positive results for both investor and investee.

Join Jessica Mendoza-Roth, founder and CEO at Social Impact Hub, for this masterclass on how blended finance can accelerate social and environmental outcomes. You'll learn: how blended finance works and who's involved; catalytic capital and philanthropy's role in funding "the missing middle"; how concessionary returns can work alongside market-rate capital; how blended finance can make impact deals more enticing to finance-first investors.

Jessica is a consultant to the impact investment sector, having served as Impact Strategist for Blue River Group and opened the Sydney office of Impact Investment Group. She was previously a Solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, where she received the R.G.
