Member Feature - Christie Centre

Christie Centre, based in Mildura and registered with the NDIS, is dedicated to building a future where everyone can participate fully, regardless of ability or background.

Since 1954, Christie Centre has made a lasting difference for people with disabilities or disadvantage through inclusive programs, meaningful employment, and strong community connections.

Their work centres on four key impact areas:

  • Social Participation – building connection, engagement, and a sense of belonging for people of all abilities
  • Inclusion – promoting equal citizenship, accessibility, and removing barriers to opportunity
  • Wellbeing – supporting physical, emotional, and social wellbeing through purposeful activities
  • Meaningful Occupation – providing real jobs and skill-building opportunities through diverse social enterprises

The Christie Centre employs individuals who have faced long-term barriers to employment, pays at or above the award wage and provides professional development. Their social enterprises deliver quality products and services while also fostering inclusive employment, reducing waste, supporting local agriculture, and advancing environmental sustainability.

We’re proud to highlight Christie Centre, a social enterprise leader working to create an inclusive community where everyone belongs.
