Closing Loopholes workplace laws

In August 23, the Federal Government introduced the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Bill 2023 into Parliament. It was their third tranche of industrial relations changes aimed at closing key loopholes they claim to being used by some employers, as well as aiming to strengthen work health and safety frameworks.

The Bill was subsequently split into two tranches late last year with the first tranche passed in December 2023 and the second tranche Received Royal assent in February 2024. More details will be provided in the March 2024 Regulatory update.
