What is the Greatest Good platform?

The Greatest Good platform is a directory, community and marketplace, where Conscious Consumers can find, engage with, and support For-Purpose Organisation aligned with their values. They search their values (UN SDGs, impact areas, location, etc) to find you. They can then shop with, donate to, find courses and events you are offering, find paid and volunteer roles, and collaborate with you, all on the one platform. It is a one-stop platform for consumer and for-purpose organisations alike.

We offer three different membership subscriptions to allow for the different sizes and offerings of for-purpose organisations. All memberships are offered via monthly payment or a discounted annual subscription.

What is a For-Purpose Organisation?

Our definition of a For-Purpose Organisation is one that puts purpose (social and environmental impacts) ahead of, or equal to, profit.

For-purpose organisations allowed on the Greatest Good platform include social enterprises, charities, cooperatives, community organisations, other not-for-profits, and B Corps.

Additional verification may be required for charities to confirm that they have the ATO’s Deductible Gift Recipiency status.

When you register on the Greatest Good platform, we may also ask for further information from you to check you meet our criteria. The information required for our due diligence purposes to support your registration will depend on the information you provide when setting up your account.

 

What products, services and experiences can I sell?

Almost anything as long as it’s legal and you comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Greatest Good platform.


My organisation doesn’t have a website or marketplace, can I still be part of the Greatest Good platform?

Yes definitely! We offer a number of different subscription options to fit your budget and requirements.

We have specifically created the Greatest Good platform to help organisations who may not have their own website and/or marketplace, but still offer purchases to support their social and/or environmental impact!

 

What are the fees?

Fees vary depending on the subscription option you select. 

You can choose a monthly subscription fee (minimum 6 month initial subscription) or a discounted annual subscription fee.

The transaction fees charged by Stripe (our payment processor) will depend on the type of organisation you are, as Stripe has very generously discounted its fees for ACNC registered charities.

For those for-purpose organisations who currently have their own marketplace via Shopify or similar, they may be able to connect their Greatest Good store to their own marketplace to ensure that they don’t sell something they no longer have in stock. The cost for this will depend on the links required. Please contact us to discuss further if this is something your organisation would like to do. We will be able to confirm whether your marketplace is compatible with Greatest Good and the costs for doing this.

 

How do I sign up for an account?

Click here to subscribe. Once you complete all the subscription details, we’ll get in touch for any required verification information or confirm that your account has been activated.

We then organise training with you to help you understand how to use the platform and create the most opportunities for your For-Purpose Organisation.

 

Will someone help me set up on the Greatest Good platform?

We have a team that will help to set up your organisation on the Greatest Good platform. But you will be responsible for keeping your platform listing up to date.
