SisterWorks is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to empowering women from migrant, refugee and asylum-seeker backgrounds through employment, entrepreneurship and social cohesion.
Founded on the belief that every woman has the right to economic independence, SisterWorks offers job readiness programs, mentorship programs, employment placement, and an impact marketplace. By providing these resources, the organisation helps women build the skills, confidence and connections necessary to succeed in the workforce and beyond. By breaking down barriers and providing robust support systems, SisterWorks fosters an environment where every woman can realise her potential and contribute meaningfully to her community and the broader economy.
The SisterWorks team are predominantly migrants themselves which allows them to bring a sense of understanding and lived-experience to the support provided that is specifically tailored towards the unique challenges faced by other migrant women.
