The Productivity Commission released its Interim Report into Harnessing data and digital technologies, with a series of recommendations and proposals on key aspects of technology, data regulation and innovation.
In the Interim Report, the Productivity Commission outlines a vision of the regulatory role in the tech and data economy which is less interventionist, particularly in areas such as AI, privacy and data access stop it also identifies owners regulation as posing a material risk to economic dividends from both data and tech productivity gains.
