Upgrades for Victoria’s Multicultural Business Precincts
Victoria’s multicultural business precincts are set for a vibrant refresh, with more than 35 neighbourhoods across the state receiving upgrades.
Through the Multicultural Business Precinct Revitalisation Program, 37 council-led projects will deliver improvements including new lighting, public art, upgraded gathering spaces, community hubs and refreshed shopfronts.
These upgrades aim to support local traders while strengthening the cultural vibrancy of neighbourhoods for communities to enjoy.
In Geelong West, a new pocket park at Yuille and Pakington Streets will host cultural events, art installations and community gatherings, drawing visitors to nearby cafés and shops.
St Albans will see Victoria Square illuminated with cultural lanterns, enhancing safety and celebrating the area’s rich multicultural identity.
Further north, Nhill is working with its community to develop a new multicultural hub focused on shared meals, performances and connection.
With more than 735,000 small businesses across the state, these upgrades reinforce Victoria’s strong multicultural identity and support thriving, connected communities.
