Nominations are now open for the inaugural Queensland Social Enterprise Awards

These Awards are a celebration of the passion, creativity, and commitment that drive our state’s vibrant impact driven economy. They shine a light on the individuals and enterprises who are changing lives, strengthening communities, and showing what’s possible when purpose and innovation come together.

Whether you’re leading a social enterprise, championing impact through collaboration, or cheering on others in the ecosystem, we’d love you to be part of the awards.

Award Categories

The awards feature 10 categories, celebrating excellence and impact across Queensland’s social enterprise sector:

• Environmental Impact Award: Honouring enterprises making a measurable difference for climate, agriculture, food systems, sustainability, and the circular economy.

• Indigenous Social Enterprise of the Year: Celebrating First Nations–owned and led enterprises that champion community, culture, and self-determined impact through enterprise.

• Jobs-Focused Social Enterprise of the Year: Recognising enterprises that create meaningful jobs and inclusive workforce pathways, including those offering training and education.

• Youth-Led Social Enterprise of the Year: Recognising founders and leaders (aged between 16 and 21) who are driving bold, purpose-led change through enterprise.

• Impact Through Innovation Award: For enterprises using innovative models, technology, or future-focused solutions to tackle pressing social or environmental challenges.

• Regional & Remote Impact Award: Celebrating place-based and community-led enterprises outside SEQ delivering high-impact solutions in regional or remote areas.

• One To Watch: This award recognises a promising early-stage or emerging social enterprise with clear potential for impact, growth, and innovation.

• Catalyst for Change: For those driving systems change and strengthening the social enterprise sector through individual work, projects, programs or collaborations.

• Social Entrepreneur of the Year: Recognising an individual whose vision, leadership, and commitment have significantly advanced social or environmental impact.
• Social Enterprise of the Year: Honouring this year’s most outstanding Queensland social enterprise for excellence in impact, growth, innovation, and leadership.

How to Nominate

Simply visit Queensland Social Enterprise Awards and click on the category that you are interested in, and follow the prompts. You may submit entries for more than one category, provided you meet the eligibility criteria.

Nominations will close on 17 April 2026.
