Reimagining Wealth: Join the First Resource Generation Australia Cohort

In 2025, a global movement is launching in Australia that invites young people with wealth to take a hard look at inequality - and do something about it.

Resource Generation is a community of young people (aged 18–35) with inherited, earned, or future wealth who are committed to the equitable redistribution of wealth and power. Already active in the U.S., U.K., and Canada, the organisation is now bringing its work to Australia for the first time.

A New Conversation Around Wealth

Unlike traditional philanthropy, Resource Generation focuses on personal reflection, political education, and solidarity with movements fighting for racial, economic, and climate justice. It's about long-term commitment, not one-off giving.

The Australian chapter has been over a year in the making, developed by a group of young people with wealth alongside philanthropic and movement leaders. A national consultation confirmed the need - and enthusiasm - for this work in Australia.

Launching in 2025: Praxis

To kick off, a 6-month pilot program called Praxis will launch in Sydney from May to October 2025. It will bring together a small group (6–8 people) for monthly, peer-led sessions exploring:

• The root causes of wealth inequality

• Personal experiences and questions around wealth and privilege

• Paths to taking action, including redistributing wealth

It’s an opportunity for deep learning, reflection, and connection with others on a similar journey.

The program is open to young people with access to significant wealth who are looking for a more meaningful and justice-aligned way to engage with their resources.
