B Lab Releases 2024 Impact Report
With a powerful rise in B Corp certifications, new standards and deeper climate and community commitments, here’s a snapshot of key achievements:
- New B Corp Standards introduced seven impact areas, including climate, labor and governance after extensive public consultation
- Certification Growth: 1,317 new B Corps signed on in 2024 (a 16% increase), bringing the total certified to 9,368
- Employee Reach & Platform Use: 917,090 employees linked to B Corps (+28%), and over 319,000 businesses used B Lab’s tools, with 40,000+ managing SDG initiatives
- Climate Action & Standards: Over 50 climate-related standards launched; 800+ B Corps joined the SME Climate Hub; 273 adopted Science Based
- Community Engagement & Brand Awareness: High-profile events, 21 million potential social impressions and a global brand awareness survey showing 25% recognition, with stronger recall among younger audiences
- Policy & Advocacy Wins: Engagements at COP16, G20, EU Green Deal initiatives and momentum from campaigns like #VoteAnyway
