International Day of People with DisAbility

Wednesday 3rd of December 2025 was International Day of People with Disability. However, at Greatest Good, we prefer to focus on strengths, so wanted to highlight some amazing work-integrated social enterprises who are helping to develop these strengths. They are doing fabulous work, but there is so much more to be done to achieve inclusive workplaces across Australia. Read below to meet those making a difference.

The Reconnect Project is an award-winning social enterprise helping to close Australia's digital divide. They provide repair services to donated tech and distribute it to people in need. They provide training and employment opportunities to neurodivergent young adults with tech repairs.

Christie Centre is a Mildura-based NDIS organisation celebrating individual greatness and possibilities. They provide employment opportunities and individualised support to people with a disability and create advocacy to communities and other stakeholders.

Hotel Etico is Australia's first social enterprise hotel. They assist young people with disabilities by providing training and employment to help participants gain independence across all areas of hotel service.

Find these and other amazing organisations creating positive social impact in the Ability/Disability/Neurodivergent space here.
