Queensland Social Impact Revenue Investments recipients unveiled

The Queensland Government has unveiled its Impact Revenue Investments recipients, which is set to deliver the biggest social impact shift in the state’s history with the release of a landmark roadmap and the first recipients of a nation-leading funding program.
The Social Enterprise and Impact Investing Roadmap will provide profound change to Queenslanders who need it most by creating the right conditions for the social impact sector to scale and thrive.
The Roadmap, launched by the state’s first-ever Office of Social Impact, will guide government investment of $20 million per year to support organisations that help vulnerable Queenslanders.
This includes the Australian-first Impact Revenue Investments program, which provides targeted funding to improve financial sustainability and drive greater impact in priority areas such as education, health and employment.
Investments of up to $200,000 have been approved for 14 social enterprises.
The successful organisations provide services as diverse as robot-powered physical rehab technology, mental health support for blue-collar workers, low-cost groceries and First Peoples-led employment opportunities.
Queensland is home to more than 700 social enterprises, 455 of which are registered with the Queensland Social Enterprise Council.
The enterprises transform lives by creating social connections, delivering essential services and removing employment barriers for vulnerable Queenslanders.
