Who Can Become a B Corp? | Eligibility & Certification Process

Who can become a B Corp?

Earlier this month, we ran a workshop in collaboration with Good 4 Business to help businesses navigate the path to becoming a Certified B Corporation™.

B Corporations™ or B Corps™ aren’t just a certification to aspire to.

B Corporations are a global movement comprised of people and organisations redefining the current economic system into one where businesses are used as a force for good.

To be eligible for a B Corp Certification, you need to be a for-profit business that walks, talks and appears like an organisation that continuously measures its impact.

Your business also needs to be operational for at least 12 months before you apply. It is also important to note that the B Corp™ Certification cannot be applied to brands or divisions of a business.

The pathway to becoming a Certified B Corp™ can look different for your business depending on factors such as your sector, industry, scoring, and ownership structure. It is also important to remember that involvement in some controversial industries may affect your ability to certify.

Don’t forget to sign up today to join the Greatest Good community of for-purpose organisations that are coming together to create positive social and environmental change.
