JobAccess Helps Businesses Tap into Untapped Talent.

One in five Australians lives with a disability, yet only half of working-age people with disability are employed — representing a significant pool of underutilised talent. The Australian Government’s JobAccess program is helping change that by providing free, expert support to businesses wanting to create more inclusive and accessible workplaces.

Through the Employment Assistance Fund (EAF), JobAccess offers financial support for assistive technology, workplace modifications, Auslan interpreting, mental health support, and disability awareness training. It also provides free workplace assessments to ensure adjustments meet both business and employee needs.

Employers can also access tailored guidance through the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator (NDRC), which helps strengthen recruitment practices, build disability confidence, and support inclusive hiring and retention strategies.

Building a diverse workforce is not only the right thing to do — it’s good for business. Inclusive employers report higher staff retention, stronger loyalty, fresh perspectives, and improved customer satisfaction.
