Shopify discounted plans for not-for-profits and charities

Shopify offers discounted plans for not-for-profits and charities that they do not advertise. Access the plan by contacting their online chat.

According to Shopify, the NPO Lite and NPO Full plans are available by request for eligible not-for-profits/charities (and may change over time).

To be approved, you’ll need to verify your nonprofit/charity status with your country’s documentation.

If your charity/nonprofit is registered in Australia, Shopify can offer NPO Lite or NPO Full plans, but they’re available by request (not an automatic “half price” discount).

Proof of your nonprofit/charity status using the documentation required in your country (for Australia, have your official registration details ready—for example, your charity registration info).

How it works (high level):

• Sign up (or use your existing store).
• Prepare your Australian nonprofit/charity documentation.
• Request the NPO plan change, and Shopify will verify your NPO status before applying the plan.
