The Government approved a new Work Health and Safety (Sexual and Gender-based Harassment) Code of Practice 2025. This Code provides practical guidance to employers on how they can identify, manage, and minimise risks of sexual and gender-based harassment at work, and meet their obligations under Work Health and Safety (WHS) Laws.

Anti-Discrimination
Meanwhile, the Queensland Government has recently paused planned changes to Queensland’s Anti—Discrimination Act 1991 to allow for further consultation. The changes were due to start on 1 July 2025 and included new grounds of discrimination including irrelevant criminal records and a positive duty to protect attributes such as sex, age, impairment, etc).
